How to Use Bluetooth Headphones on PC or Mac

This teaches you ways to attach and use Bluetooth headphones on a Windows or Mac computer.

On Windows

  1. Charge or insert fresh batteries within the headphones. Before pairing any Bluetooth device, confirm the device has many battery power.
  2. Put the headphones in pairing mode. Putting the headphones in pairing mode will vary counting on the make and model of your Bluetooth headphones. In most cases, there’s usually a button you press and hold to place the headphones into pairing mode.
  • Consult the instruction manual that came together with your Bluetooth headphones for instructions on the way to put your headphones in pairing mode.

  3. Click Devices. it is the option within the top row next to the icon that resembles a keyboard and speaker.
  4. Click the Bluetooth & other devices tab. it is the first option at the top within the left-hand side of the Devices menu. This displays the Bluetooth menu.
  5. Click + Add Bluetooth or other device. it is the first option at the top of the “Bluetooth & other devices” page.
  • Before pairing your Bluetooth headphones, check the toggle below “Bluetooth” is turned on. If it’s not turned on, click the toggle therefore the knob moves to the proper and says “On.”
  1. Click Bluetooth. it is the first option within the “Add a device” menu. This scans for nearby Bluetooth devices.
  • Click your Bluetooth headphones. When your computer discovers your Bluetooth headphones, they’re going to appear within the list of nearby devices. Alternatively, you’ll reach this menu by clicking the Apple icon within the top-left corner of the screen, then click “System Preferences” and choose “Bluetooth.”
  • Before pairing your Bluetooth headphones, make sure it says “Bluetooth: On” under the Bluetooth logo on the left. If it’s turned off, simply click the button below that says “Turn Bluetooth On.”
